Locked out of your Local Services Ads dashboard? Here's what happened and what to do now

You go to your Local Services Ads dashboard and it sends you to Google Ads instead. You didn't click the wrong link. Your migration date passed, and the old dashboard is locked.

Why did my dashboard lock?

Google moved your Local Services Ads account into Google Ads. You got 14 days notice by email, and now that date has passed. The old dashboard is locked permanently, and any login redirects you to Google Ads.

What is already lost?

Your performance reports, unless you exported them during your 14 day window. That means impressions, clicks, weekly spend, ad level performance, and campaign reports. After migration day there's no way back in.

What is safe?

Your leads, messages, and call recordings transfer automatically. Your Google Verified badge carries over, and you don't re-verify. Pay per lead billing, Search and Maps placement, and your business and service areas also move over intact.

What are the first five things to do inside Google Ads?

1. 1Find your campaign and make sure it's active.
2. 2Check the daily budget math, because weekly budgets are now daily.
3. 3Check your Target CPA, since the max cost per lead cap is gone.
4. 4Pick at least six structured callouts, like hours, specialties, and payment methods.
5. 5Verify conversion tracking is firing on the right events.

Also be careful editing your Google Business Profile, because a big name or address change can pause your ads for 24 to 48 hours. Read the Business Profile edit post before you touch it.

How long will performance wobble?

Expect up to two weeks of unstable performance while the system re-learns your account. Watch spend and lead cost daily during that window, and don't judge the whole switch on day two.
