Google won't carry your Local Services Ads reports into Google Ads. Here's what survives and what doesn't

Google is moving Local Services Ads into Google Ads. The US rollout started in August 2026 for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliance repair, house cleaning, lawn care, roofing, pest control, and moving. Each account gets 14 days notice, and that's the whole warning.

What doesn't carry over?

Your performance reports. That means impressions, clicks, weekly spend, ad level performance, and your campaign reports. It's the record of how the account did, month by month, job type by job type.

Your lead history is safe. Contact details, message threads, and call recordings transfer automatically. So you keep the customers, you lose the scoreboard.

What is the 14 day timeline?

  1. 1Day 14: Google emails the account admin with your migration date, and a warning banner shows in the dashboard.
  2. 2Day 7: a reminder email goes out.
  3. 3Migration day: the old Local Services Ads dashboard stops opening, and any login sends you to Google Ads. Google emails again when it's done.

Google says the old dashboard stops working on your migration day and that past reports won't be accessible there. Google also says a download page for historical reports is coming, and that screenshots are the fallback until it opens. The safest plan is to save a copy before your date.

What survives and what doesn't carry over?

Survives the moveDoesn't carry over
Pay per lead billingThe old LSA dashboard
Search and Maps placementAll performance reports
Google Verified badge, no re-verificationManual bidding
Lead history, messages, call recordingsVertical level target CPA
Keywordless category targetingBBB callouts
Your business and service areasWeekly budgets (they become daily budgets)

Why does losing the reports hurt?

Because the new system needs a target cost per lead, and the only honest source for that number is your own history. Lose the history and you're guessing with your own money. More on that in what replaces your cost per lead cap.

What should I do first?

Save the reports before your date. The step by step is here: how to export your reporting history. Then check your budget math, because weekly budgets become daily ones, and the spending can move differently day to day. See the budget math.
