Google is deleting your Local Services Ads reporting history. Here's what survives and what doesn't

Google is moving Local Services Ads into Google Ads. The US rollout started in August 2026 for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliance repair, house cleaning, lawn care, roofing, pest control, and moving. Each account gets 14 days notice, and that's the whole warning.

What does Google actually delete?

Your reporting history. That means impressions, clicks, weekly spend, ad level performance, and your campaign reports. It's the record of how the account did, month by month, job type by job type.

Your lead history is safe. Contact details, message threads, and call recordings transfer automatically. So you keep the customers, you lose the scoreboard.

What is the 14 day timeline?

  1. 1Day 14: Google emails the account admin with your migration date.
  2. 2Day 7: warning banners appear in the dashboard, and a second email goes out.
  3. 3Migration day: the old Local Services Ads dashboard locks permanently, and any login redirects you to Google Ads.

Your export window is only those 14 days. There's no grace period and no way back into the old dashboard once it locks.

Why does losing the reports hurt?

Because the new system needs a target cost per lead, and the only honest source for that number is your own history. Lose the history and you're guessing with your own money. More on that in what replaces your cost per lead cap.

What should I do first?

Download the reports while they exist. The step by step is here: how to export your reporting history. Then check your budget math, because weekly budgets become daily ones, and the monthly total moves. See the budget math.
