Weekly budgets are becoming daily budgets. Here is the math that changes

When your Local Services Ads move into Google Ads, weekly budgets go away and daily budgets take over. Same money, different container, and the container changes your monthly total.

How is the daily number worked out?

Your weekly budget is divided by 7, and that's your daily average. Your monthly ceiling is that daily average times 30.4.

Can you show the math?

Say your weekly budget is $700. Divided by 7, that's $100 a day. Times 30.4, your monthly ceiling is $3,040. Under the old weekly system, four weeks of $700 was $2,800. So the same budget now allows $240 more a month, which is an 8.6 percent silent raise nobody asked you about.

How do I set the daily number to match my old spend?

  • For the same yearly spend, use $700 times 52 divided by 365, which is $99.73 a day.
  • For a true $2,800 month, cap it at about $92 a day.
  • Write your old weekly number down before the account moves, so you have something to check against.
  • Compare your first full month of spend to the ceiling you expected.

Why does this bite service shops?

Emergency work is lumpy. A burst pipe week and a quiet week don't cost the same. Daily budgets flatten that, so your busy days can run out of room while your quiet days leave money on the table.

What else moves at the same time?

Your max cost per lead setting goes away, covered in this post, and your reporting history is deleted, covered in this one.
